How to setup Custom Domain for Sendy

Sendy supports running the application on any domain of your choice. When using Sendybay, you can do the same. If you have multiple clients using the your same Sendy login, you can use Sendy's brand login feature. More on that later.

In order to setup Custom Domain for your Sendy installation, follow the steps below.

Step 1 - Setup CNAME

In order for your Custom Domain to work, you need to point the domain you want to use to our hosting. You can do this by signing in to your Domain Control Panel (for e.g. Godaddy) and setting up a CNAME. For e.g. let's say you decide to use a domain called "newsletters.yourcompany.com". In that case, you need to CNAME that domain to -

host.sendybay.com

CNAME changes can take up to an hour to reflect.

Step 2 - Update Custom Domain on Sendybay

Once you have pointed the CNAME, you will now need to let Sendybay know the new domain you want to use. You can do this from your Dashboard here.

Setup Sendy Custom Domain Form

In the above screen, you need to enter the domain you want to use with your Sendy installation. Once done, you can hit the green button which will trigger a bunch of things in the backend. On the frontend though, you will see a friendly notification as in the screenshot below.

Step 3 - All's set

There's nothing more to be done, except for waiting for a min. When you visit your new domain, you should be able to see the Sendy setup running. The same login will work along with all the campaigns etc. It's quick, it's easy and moments later, it is business as usual. ✋

Quick word on using brand login and multiple domains

Sendy supports having multiple brands. Each brand can have it's own domain. It is possible to use more than one domain with your Sendybay setup. Refer to the article on Sendy's custom domain licenses to learn more.
